Music Lessons

Hi! My name is Be'eri Moalem.  I am an Israeli-American, Conservatory-trained musician offering music lessons on violin, and viola.

I have been teaching since 1999, using a variety of methods:  I combine Suzuki method, Roland method, and "Strictly Strings" for beginners; traditional etudes (Wohlfahrt, Mazas, Kreutzer) and the concertos of Vivaldi, Bach, and Mozart for intermediate and advanced students.

I teach classical technique with an emphasis on note reading, rhythm, intonation, beauty of tone and most importantly musical expression and understanding.  I also teach music theory, improvisation and composition.

My students have gone on to play in the Palo Alto Chamber Orchestra, Peninsula Youth Orchestra, and El Camino Youth Symphony

Private or group lessons are taught in private studio in midtown Palo Alto.
