Be'eri Moalem was born in
Jerusalem, Israel, and lives in Palo Alto, California. He is a
freelance violinist and violist, playing in ensembles varying from
chamber ensembles (San Francisco Chamber
Orchestra, Classical Revolution, Rossmoyne Chamber Players, quartets at various festivals and universities) to rock band (ZIVA
Band, Halelu Band) to full-scale symphony orchestra (Monterey Symphony,
Fresno Symphony, California Chamber Symphony).
He
earned a Bachelor of Music degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of
Music in 2005 and is currently working on a masters in composition at San Jose
State University. In addition to playing music, Be'eri is also an
avid composer,
writer, and teacher. His hobbies and interests also
include traveling, biking, basketball, gardening, green technology,
vegetarianism, Judaism, wine, politics, history, computers, and what
not.
